But you love the almost twins and they are in every story in your mind. even the ones when they are not as cool as Alexiel' Story, like in the Harry Potter AU, or . Well, in the Star Trek AU they are almost as cool as Alexiel' Story. And we have polyamory relationship there and oh those stories. It is really good that I'm wrting this to you. You need it, you know. It is an excelent idea. Because time will pass and all of this will come someday and you are not going to remember it well and you will search for a link that could trigger your memory but you can not find? Ah the frustration.
So in the Star Trek AU they are better because Axel, Roxas and Alexiel are from a different race, somewhat like vulcans but who embraced sex and martial arts instead of stoic meditation. Sorry, Spock. But they are high telepaths and they become better with the years. They marry and absorb qualities from other races and then they control them. They development into a slave race. And just now they are becoming to use their powers from good. And they created the United Galaxy Republic. It is not Klingon territory and not federation territory. Alexiel, the prince reagent and heir of the almost-Vulcan kingdom resolves to enlist to UGR after her brother's death (and a period of drugs and rock and roll with her ex-girlfriend/almost fiancee/childhood friends Axel and her little sister not so little Roxas who remind her too much of her own brother). In the UGR she quickly rise through the ranks and ends in special class with Midrel, her twin brother Lionel , Sebastian and Duo.

Midrel and Lionel, sons of the Vulcan Biotech and the commander of Valent , are the best students. Lionel is a healer and he tries to hide his Vulcan nature to extremes in order to not violate the privacy of his pacients. Midrel wants to be the commander of the Valiant II, a remake of her father' ship. When she discovered they were building it she quickly enlists with her twin and in thee years she goes to the commander course. But obviosly Alexiel was there already. And the three specials ships would be giver to the 3 best students in this order, Valiant, Phoenix and Endure. In the end, after a year of hostility, Alexiel makes it in second for .02 points and Midrel in first, making her dream come true with her second officer Duo.
Sebastian stays with Alexiel in the Phoenix. Unlike Valiant which was a diplmoatic/research ship (like Enterprise but with less people in red because their system was simpler) and Endure which was a defense ship, Phoenix was a ship for attack and because of that it used to have a great number of deaths and almost no one could complete the 4 years mission. But the higher salary compensate for the desperate one. Alexiel made it better with a porcentage rate that now on her third mission makes the Phoenix actually a great idea atracting more people everyday.
Sebastian and Duo are childhood friends of Mikhael and Lionel. Sebastian came first. He was adopted into the captain's family when the twins were four and Salvatore the half brother full Vulcan were 7. His original family were extremaly rich and were in a desaster likely that one in Tarsus. But they bought with everything they had tickets to save their heir. But they didn't took him and leave them with their relatives abroad. Instead Sebastian was left with concubines and made a slave until the Valiant made a mission there and the captain was so pissed with the state everything was that he almost murdered the leader but in the end he controled himself and the judment could be fair. But he didn't want the kid to be left alone and Sebastian didn't speak. So the boy stayed with him and when it was verified that their other relatives didn't care, they adopted him.
Duo was an heir of a criminal family. Often they didn't care what happended with him but Duo saw more murderers than a kid should have seen. And were hit more times that a kid should have been (wich is none, just so you know - for both questions) . So when his father tells him that nothing would make him happy than to end with the twins half-bread, Duo tries to kill Lionel. But in the end Mikhael saves Lionel and is really hurt and Duo thinks she is dead and he almost dies with it but Lionel calls their mothers throught the bond and since mIkhael is half breed she is more resistant then mostly people.
